Hello North Bay Family!

We hope you are all doing well! We have some news to share with you. As you know, our cross-cultural ministry began when we joined Action back in September 2013, finally moving to the Philippines in January 2018. So many things are different living in a foreign country and we have had many highs and lows.

It has already been almost two years since we returned to the Philippines after Covid and began serving in Tagaytay City, doing mostly outreach ministry. Our current outreach, in the community of Tolentino East, is where we have a weekly feeding program for about 35-40 kids, ages 5-12, on Saturdays. We also hold a youth fellowship on Sundays, tutor kids in math and English, and hold bible studies during the week.

For the past seven years, the Philippines has been our home. After meetings, many discussions, and much prayer, several factors have led us to the decision to return to the USA. One of which is to be closer to Glenn and Alyssa (our song and daughter-in-law), and to be able to watch our granddaughters grow up.

Our current visas are valid through March 2024, and the feeding program will end February 24. Initially, we are planning to return to the USA at the end of March. We have much planning and preparing to do before then. Of course, it will take us time to readjust to American culture once we get home.

We want to say thank you for your prayers and financial support over the years. You have all played a huge role in reaching Filipinos with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in helping them in their difficult life circumstances, and also in helping them to grow spiritually.

We definitely have mixed emotions in planning our departure, but we want to leave the Philippines mission field well. We would like to make a request, if you feel led, to continue supporting us through our transition back into American culture.
